Absolutely - Mantrailing is suitable for any breed, any age and even reactive or anxious dogs.

How do I get started with Mantrailing?

Before you join any of our Mantrailing events you will need to have complete our Introduction session.

What equipment do I need for mantrailing?

You will need a harness (not a no pull harness) and long line around 10 metres for your dog as well as fresh water and treats.

You may need warm, waterproof clothing in inclement weather as well as suitable footwear.

Our induction course last for three to four hours but training doesn’t stop there. You and your dog will learn more at every session you attend as the layouts, scents as well as weather conditions that affect your dog’s sense of smell will be different each time you attend.

You can progress your dog through different levels of achievements from levels 1-5 by attending different events that we hold.

Your dog will need to spend a short amounts of time on their own in the car while you attend the safety brief and then again while you act as a trail layer for other dogs.

All we ask is that if your dog has severe reactivity, you let us know before you attend so we can put plans in place to ensure the safety of everyone in attendance.
